7night 8days Tokyo – Hokkaido Tour Itinerary:Searching for EZO Brown Bear and Sperm Whale

A course designed for wildlife photography in Hokkaido.
Recommended to those who love to search for extinct wildlife.

Tour Highlights

Encounter sperm whales feeding in the Strait of Nemuro during summer. Observe Ezo Brown Bears coming to the peninsula coast for catching salmon!

●Observe Ezo Brown Bear by small fisherman’s boat – higher chance to approach Ezo Brown Bear.
●Another “Ezo Brown Bear watching cruise” at Utoro side of Shiretoko Peninsula. Enjoy picturesque scenery around the Peninsula. 
●Sperm Whale watching at the Strait of Nemuro. 
●Walk to one of Hokkaido’s icon; Elevated Wooden Path at “Shiretoko Goko”. You will walk one-part of 800m long path while praising breathtaking views of Shiretoko Mountain range. 
●Observe Ezo Sika deer, Ezo Red Fox at the Notsuke Peninsula.
●Observe and photograph rare Blakiston’s fish owl at [Washi No Yado]

Tokyo

From Delhi to the capital of Japan; Tokyo (Narita airport) by air.

Tokyo

Upon arrival, our English-speaking assistant (ESA) will pick you up at Narita Airport.
Go to the hotel together with the staff by public transportation.
After arrival, there will be a short briefing of the tour, the guide will hand over your tickets for sightseeing and there will be an explanation on how to use PASMO (a smart card for public transport).
In the evening, walk with the ESA to view Tokyo’s Night View.

Nakashibetsu
Rausu

In the morning, your ESA will drop you to the limousine bus station.
Take limousine bus to Haneda Airport, fly to Nakashibetsu Airport.

Meet at Nakashibetsu airport at Nemuro. Transfer to Rausu, which lies at the base of Shiretoko Peninsula. On the way, visit the view-point, from where you can overlook the Nemuro Strait and Kunashiri Island. In the evening, visit [Washi No Yado] where you can observe & photograph Blakiston’s fish owl.

Rausu

In the morning, Take a small boat to approach Ezo Brown Bear on the coast of Shiretoko pensula. In the afternoon, take the cruise boat to look for Sperm Whale, feeding in strait of Nemuro.
Evening, we can arrange visiting [Washi No Yado] for Blakiston's fish owl observation with extra charges.

Rausu

In the morning, cross the shiretoko pass to reach the other side of the Shiretoko peninsula called Utoro. Walk on the elevated wooden path at the Shiretoko five lakes (shiretoko goko)、from where you can admire the Shiretoko mountain range. 
In the afternoon, take a cruise boat to look for Ezo Brown Bears along the peninsula coast. Our final stop on this day is one of the natural Hot spring in Rausu called [KUMA NO YU] which means "Bear's Hot spring".

Notsuke
Nakashibetsu

Tokyo

 

Transfer to Nakashibetsu airport at Nemuro depending on the flight time. On the way, explore the Notsuke Peninsula to look for Ezo-Sika deer, Ezo-red foxes. Then transfer to Airport, take flight to Tokyo.

Upon arrival at Tokyo, you will be picked by our ESA and transfer to the hotel in Tokyo.

Tokyo

Full day Tokyo sightseeing.
In the morning, our ESA will come to pick you up at your hotel in Tokyo.
Visit Tokyo Sky Tree, Sensoji Temple, Nakamise Street Shops etc.
After that, Shopping in Akihabara. Take the train back to the hotel and overnight.

Delhi

Morning, free time in the hotel.
Our ESA will drop you to the limousine bus station.
Take limousine bus to the airport and fly back to Delhi.

In the morning, English-Speaking Assistant will come to pick you up at your hotel. Then, transfer to Tokyo station.
Take bullet train [Nozomi] to Kyoto. Upon arrival, you will be picked up by local English-Speaking Assistant at Kyoto Station. Transfer to the hotel inside Kyoto.
In the afternoon, visit around Kyoto with your English-Speaking Assistant in public transport.
Explore around the best places inside Kyoto, the old capital of Japan.
Enjoy the dinner at local Japanese restaurant.

      ※ This tour targets the observation and photography of wildlife. Please note that the tour is highly affected by the day's weather and we may need to change the travel route frequently. Our guide will explain and manage the program according to the situation.
      ※Please note that this program will not guarantee sighting of wildlife mentioned in itinerary. 
      ※The cruise boats mentioned in itinerary is "shared boat", not a private charter. Boat cruises are weather dependent. If the cruise is cancelled due to bad weather, the itinerary may be replaced by other day's plan. If you are not able to take the cruise throughout the entire period, the cost of cruise will be refunded. 
      ※ If you plan to arrive at Kushiro / Memanbestu Airport, please inquire us at time of reservation.
      ※The plan is based on the accommodation at Shiretoko Serai, but we can arrange other accommodation in Rausu, for example [Washi No Yado] and hot springs. Please consult us without any hesitation.

Cancellation Policy
30 days or more prior to the departure date : INR 10,000/- will be charged
15 to 08 days prior to the departure date : 75% of the total tour cost will be charged
7 days before the tour departure date : no refund

Payment Policy
Initial deposit - INR 10,000/- to confirm you are booking with us.
100 % payment is needed at least 15 days before departure date.

JAPAN VISA
The participants are responsible to their travel VISA to Japan,
but the required documents like hotel confirmation, tour itinerary will be provided.
