In 1838, an English engineer found the temple group in the period of British colonial administration. Later, after it was registered as the World Heritage Site as Khajuraho temple group in 1986, it broke through as a famous sightseeing spot. This temple group was constructed by the Chandel dynasty prospered from 10th to 13th century. Among the 85 temples were built in those days, 25 temples remain today. The completeness of each temple is very high, and the architecture manner is controlled almost same due to they were concentrated to build in a short period for 200 years.
Khajuraho is famous for the “love sculpture” of erotic Maithuna (loving couples interlocked). It is said that the Maithuna reflects the Tantrism in India. Tantrism is a thought (belief) of “the complete identity (advaitavāda, identical unitarism(?)) between self and the Absolute”. As one method to gain the spiritual conscious, a sexual ceremony was considered. Watching Maithuna, they seem to have holy fierce energy to exceed the ordinal framework somehow. One step back and look up, astonished with and caught eyes by the Maithuna engraved minutely and precisely.

Unknown noted place and the capital city in past,
Orchha in the Kingdom of Bundela

Orchha is a small village along the Betwa River. Here from 16th century to 18th century, the Rajput tribe is Hindu of which capital city was built in the Kingdom of Bundela. The kingdom established a friendly relation with the Islam Mughal Empire and prospered. The buildings in Orchha are influenced by both Hindu and Islam cultures. The remains of palace stands stately in the green look like a European old castle. Inside the buildings, delicately engraved openwork and arch in the style of Islam, and relieves to tell about the Hindu deities and to deliver the gorgeous lives of maharajas in that time are remained. In this tour, you visit rare spots by an ordinary tour can seldom cover in the north India. We highly recommend this tour.
